Who am I, and why am I here?
After much procrastinating, I have decided to actually fill out and complete a page that is somewhat autobiographical in nature.
I am a 31 32 33 34 35-year-old male living in Baltimore, Maryland. I was born in Baltimore, and I have lived in and around the city for most of my life. I attended Baltimore Polytechnic Institute–Poly, as it is known in local circles. Following that, I received a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts. I then completed my Master of Public Management at the University of Maryland School of Public Policy in College Park, Maryland.
Following graduate school, I wound up pursuing a technical track for my career. I started working in technical support for my graduate school, and I continued working various system administrator roles around the College Park campus. I recently ended my employment there, finishing the last five years at the Office of Information Technology as a system administrator of Novell NetWare and Microsoft Windows systems. Now, I find myself doing things for a large firm here in downtown Baltimore.
The blog that you are reading here is just a series of random thoughts–rants, opinions, or interesting finds on the Internets. Sometimes I post technical content, and that is mainly to occasionally help my fellow denizens of the Internet or other technical types. Other times, though, my posts are of a personal or humorous tone. I took the name for my blog and its domain–baltimoremick–from my Irish and Baltimore roots.
