In the few moments I have between workweeks, I thought I would enjoy the warming weather. I like Spring as much as the next guy, but this weekend went from Spring to late June.
Currently, the A/C is on in my house. It’s April. Last night, the thermostat read 83 degrees. With that, I took actions into my own hands and turned on the cooling.
I CAN HAZ SPRING (BACK)?
I refuse, refuse to put on my AC in APRIL!!!!
Last night the bedroom was a toasty 79 when we went to bed but thanks to fans had cooled down to 73 by morning.
And it looks like Spring will return by mid-week, hopefully it will last until mid-June then.
My issue was that there really was little wind blowing yesterday, and as a fellow rowhome dweller, you know how the wind needs to blow just so for a breeze. So, I opted for the easy fix.
I find even with a breeze I need some window fans to get a good breeze going through the house. You can pick up cheap box fans for about $15 from a big box hardware store or spend a few dollars more and buy one at your local hardware store.
I’m not proud, I put the AC on too. That’s what it’s for–it’s not like we can use it up and be short in August!
