- One of the things my friend Paul and I discussed when I was in St. Louis last weekend was how quickly time seems to fly now. “The summer just started; It’s the 4th of July; It’s 8-8-08.” The worst part about this seemingly speedy passage of time is I seem to keep having more and more things to do.
- I broke my Jimi wallet last weekend, and I need to get a new one. Looks like the place where I bought it no longer carries them. Additionally, my friend Paul insisted on replacing it, so I let him do it on Friday. My new wallet should be arriving sometime this week.
- This weekend has been another maintenance weekend for work, and I have my share of conference calls to be on for work. I do not believe this will be nearly as bad nor as time-consuming as the last one. One is already down, and there is another one for tonight.
- Speaking of work, it will be nice to get some people back from their vacations. At the same time, I have some other deadlines–somewhat self-imposed on account of a project deadline–that require my attention. It’s been a bit difficult with some of the preparation for this weekend, but I plan to have most of the items I am responsible for completed tomorrow.
- While waiting around for my conference call yesterday, I replaced the door sweep on my front door. It was rather painless, but I found it much easier to replace with the door off the hinges.
- One of the other things I did yesterday was restore my photo collection locally from what I had on my Flickr account. I never really did this after my computer was stolen, as I figured that I did need it with my photos “in the cloud.” Still, I realized it was convenient to have those photos locally. Thus, I turned to the tool FlickrDown. I highly recommend it.

That’s actually where I went last time, but I was checking the Jimi website and did not see them listed. Also, I think they were carrying the Jimi and not the JimX. Still, though, why didn’t they appear on the site? They did last time I checked.
