And This is a Bad Thing?

According to the BBC, the Swedish supergroup and the bane of both good music and most heterosexual men, ABBA, will never perform again.

Is that really so bad?  I, for one, welcome this as good news.

Wow! Really?! Man….Now I’ll never get to be dragged off to some farewell show and pay way too much for tickets to see Abba? I’ll break the news to my girlfriend gently. My Monday’s looking better already.

Oh, stop playing. You know you’re secretly upset. It’s alright. Let it all out:)

Oh come on JJT. Remember that time you got drunk and did your rendition of “Dancing Queen” before falling into the river??

Oh wait…never mind, I think that was me.

@Daily Breather: One less reunion tour and crappy band to have to deal with going forward. Unfortunately, there are a number of other contenders on the “crappy band” aspect that are rising up to take their place.

@Charm City Barfly: I am indeed saddened over the demise of a craptastic band from Sweden. We all know the best thing from Sweden is the Swedish Chef.

@Carol: The depths you are privy to sink to amaze even me. Singing ABBA and falling into a river: steaming pile of awesome.

I’m sorry – now we can never be friends again.

ABBA = my favorite group. Big mistake…

@Charissa: ABBA is your favorite group? I know there must be other contenders for that prize. There must be a happy medium here.

Thank god Ace of Base is still around, amirite???

(Secretly I am somewhat fond of ABBA. I blame early indoctrination when I was too young to know better…)

Oh puh-lease. That ABBA/river incident was nothing. At least it was summer and I didn’t fall through ice — that was the “War Pigs”/river incident back in ’89.
