@Paul: Once you’ve had EVDO, though, you will never want to go back to EDGE. Sometimes using my work-provided CrackBerry is just plain painful.

@George: very true, T-Mob has been slow to embrace faster data speeds. But EDGE is still an improvement over my current GPRS phone.

@ Paul: T-Mobile won’t be able to take advantage of the 3G features because they haven’t implemented a 3G network in most of the US. I believe they are just getting started with the major metro areas, but it will be a while. They are really behind the curve when it comes to high-speed wireless.
