Last night, while going out for a beer with a couple of friends of mine, we were walking down the street on a narrow sidewalk. With me last night was my Bostonian friend and my other friend Brian. My Bostonian friend, as is his wont, was wearing one of his many Red Sox-themed t-shirts. As we continued on our path, a group of ladies approached our portion of the sidewalk. Being gentlemen, we moved aside to let the ladies pass.
My Bostonian friend was a bit tipsy, but Brian and I were comfortably sober. As the group of ladies passed, my tipsy friend said “Ladies.” One of the girls heard this, and she looked at my tipsy Bostonian friend while passing him by. In that moment, she noticed his shirt and uttered the best comment I have heard in a long time.
Ugh–a Sox fan.
And with that, my evening and weekend was made.
That would have made my weekend, too.
