Last week, I received my first purchase from Zappos. I have procrastinated in making a purchase from them, as I am leery of buying certain things online. Before this experience, I always found shoe purchases best done from a store. It’s even more important when you have Flintstone-like feet, such as mine. I have some wide feet–4E wide, to be exact. (It is true: my feet can stop a car.)
In lieu of my usual visit to Nordstrom for shoes, I decided to give Zappos a whirl to replace my usual pair of black shoes I wear to the office. I decided on the Rockport Ellingwood. The shoes were $94, and they shipped via FedEx.
I received the shoes the next day, and I tried them on that night. They fit perfectly, and I wore them to work today and was quite happy with them.
Zappos gets my recommendation, and I am going to use them again soon. I have a pair of brown shoes that are due replacement.
