Late Christmas Gift

A late Christmas gift has come today to Ravens fans: Brian Billick has been fired as head coach of the Ravens.  While not terribly surprising nor the only solution to the problems the Ravens had this year, I think there were too many examples his Billick’s mismanagement of this team.  Poor clock management, poor offensive performance, and questionable play-calling were his death knell.

Here’s hoping that vaunted “offensive genius” has better luck being offensive elsewhere.

I was pretty shocked by the news about BB… Even thought they won last night, I didn’t see it coming. But Bisciotti didn’t get to be a bazillionaire by being a wuss about things.

    Happy New Year!

As you can tell by my text message the other day, I was surprised by this also. But, I think it’s a good move on their part.

pigtown*design: I was not too surprised. So long, Brian.

R.O.B.: I was sort of surprised, but I sort of figured it was coming. The Miami loss coupled with the continued bad offense was enough to spell his doom.
