Charissa: Excellent suggestion.  It was there that I also discovered the native ability of the device to download MP3s and save them to the ringtone directory.  I now have my all-too familiar &lt;i&gt;24&lt;/i&gt; ringtone.</description>

		<description>Unless they&#039;ve locked it down a whole lot, you should be able to install Blackberry Desktop and install ringtones even if you don&#039;t use the desktop client for sync. If you have a microSD slot you should be able to put them there and use them from the memory card as well.

I don&#039;t think there&#039;s an every 5 email messages alert trick, at least not without other software.  You could cheat it a little by making some messages level 1 and only alerting for those.  If you could figure out a way to send a special message every 5 messages you get, you could do that.</description>
