- Since it’s that time of year, I am actually going to get some holiday decorations for my house this year. Nothing big, but I figure a wreath on the door, some faux candles in the front windows, and my Christmas tree of choice.
- I have been tidying up the home office, and I decided to re-install my old SCSI drive into my Vostro 400. I forgot that new machines have the new SATA drive power connectors, making it difficult to power up my old SCSI drive. Newegg.com to the rescue, though, with a SATA to Molex Power Adapter.
- I need to tidy up the presentation of the old blog. Nothing fancy, but I have been pondering getting rid of the blogroll or making it not just a long list of blogs.
- Speaking of tidying up blogs, I am going to re-evaluate the blog feeds I read and purge those blogs that don’t do full text in their feeds. I really don’t have enough time in the day to click-through to those feeds that make me do it. In the grand scheme of things, it’s not a terrible loss for the author. I just really need to save time reading.
- My car will be in the shop–Brentwood Automotive–for a set of new tires on Thursday. It is high time I replace my tires given the condition they are in and the coming cold weather.
- I need to pick up a package again at UPS before I go into work tomorrow morning. I need to find a better way of getting packages at the house.
- Last weekend’s shopping trip to Wegmans reminded me of why I hate other grocery stores. It is so worth the trip.

I’m with you on full text. Unfortunately one of my old rarely-updated MT blogs doesn’t completely support it, which makes me somewhat of a hypocrite. Wegman’s too… I can’t wait until 2008 when one opens in Howard County. Fresh produce. Which one did you go to?
My time in Upstate NY taught me to love Wegmans. But even my love of it is moderated by the hassle of dealing with going to Hunt Valley and dealing with everyone who shops there. As such I don’t go there very often.
I’m lucky that it is safe for FedEx/UPS and USPS to leave packages in my vestibule. Otherwise I’d have them sent to my office.

Alex: Another follower of the full-text screed. I love it. I went to the one in Hunt Valley. It’s a bit of a haul, but they do everything so much better there. The one in Columbia would be slightly closer to me, I think.
Paul: You need to time your Wegmans visit to avoid the yentas and soccer-mom onslaught that normally occurs. Early morning is best if you must go on the weekend, but weeknights are not bad. As for packages, I have pondered getting them at work, but I would prefer to wait until my status is a bit more certain (if you get my drift).
Jason, you may want to try your friendly UPS store to take your packages for you.

I understand waiting to get things at work. It is only recently that I’ve started to do it and most just for things that I get shipped overnight and need a signature (the wonders of a mail room mean someone will sign for you).
And how long are you going to at Brentwood Thursday and when? I might be able to arrange my schedule to grab breakfast/lunch with you.
Sally: UPS Stores usually charge you money for receiving a package.
I’m surprised you’re so fond of Wegman’s — I figured it was a little too foo-foo for you. Wow…that rhymes.
I would like it more if it was less of a tourist attraction. Having to navigate the meat and seafood departments — that’s my idea of hell right there.

Paul: I was planning on dropping my car off at Brentwood, then finding a way down to the office for work. So, if you want to do coffee in the morning that can be done. Let me know offline.
Carol: I love the Weg. It is teh aw3s0mE!!!!11!! In all seriousness, I try to go there, but sometimes it is tough to take the time to head up there. Also, as I said, you need to go early or late to avoid the slow shoppers.
