As I write this, I am sitting on my stoop awaiting some of the late trick-or-treaters in lovely Pigtown. Of the handful of kids I have seen out and about, about half that number have not had a costume on. I can understand little kids with a costume, as that is kind of a toss-up. I do, however, have an issue with the older kids without a costume.
All I ask in exchange for doling out my candy is that you make an effort. It’s really not much for one day out of the year, is it?

My solution to the wannabe thugs that strap on their Lugz and carry around their pillowcases to fill even though they’re well beyond the age? Answer the door strapped and give the impression that you’ll do something about it. Wanna dress like a thug, you can be scared of getting pistol whipped like a thug too.
Of course this is all hypothetical. I was out at the bar last night, where they serve candy for adults.
Did you get any late-night junkies? They’re always fun…they show up at like 11 PM with a Safeway bag, hoping you have leftovers. Good times in P-town!
