The hallmark of Orioles Magic has passed on. “Wild Bill” Hagy died yesterday, and his death is a reminder of what baseball once was in this town and what it probably never will be. I still remember the stories my dad and uncle tell me about those crazy times at Memorial Stadium.
I was lucky enough to meet the man a couple of years ago. I even got to see him do his signature O-R-I-O-L-E-S cheer.
