I am working from the home office today, as I need to travel to the corporate office in Reston for a corporate meeting this afternoon. No sense driving up to the office to merely drive back down I-95 continuing onto NoVA, passing by my house in the process. I don’t look forward to how late I will be getting home tonight, and the drive will surely be a pain.
To make up for it, I am meeting some old friends and former colleagues for lunch. From there, I will kill some time doing some other work before heading to Reston.

The drive down to Reston shouldn’t be too bad but I don’t envy the drive home around rush hour.
Two suggestions, hang around Reston (maybe grab some dinner before leaving) and avoid the evening rusj hour or (and I’ve done this before) take Rte 7 west to Rte 15 N to I-70 E and home to Charm City. Sure its a longer drive but at least you won’t be sitting on the Capitol Beltway.

At least you had fabulous coffee before making the trek.

Paul: I waited it out, and that was not too bad.

Jason: glad you made it home without running into rush hour traffic.
