Tonight, I was going to get together with my great-aunt, who I have not seen in some time. She is my grandfather’s sister, and she still lives in the house that they all grew up on here in Pittsburgh. I am pretty sure I have seen her since the first time I visited here, but I have not been here in 21 years. It has been that long since I saw where my grandfather grew up.
Unfortunately, the weather conspired against us and it rained this evening. Understandably, my aunt called the visit off. Unfortunately, I leave tomorrow afternoon, so it does not look like we will get together on this trip. I will need to make sure I visit again soon. It has been too long.
I am disappointed, as I was looking forward to our get-together. I now need to find some other way to entertain myself for my last night in Pittsburgh.
