Last night, I attended Zoomerang for the second year in a row. Again, my friend’s wife supplied us with free tickets to the event.
There was lots of good food, but the heat was a bit excessive. Add to that the formal attire I had on, man I was sweltering until the wind picked up around 9:30 PM. All in all, I had a good time.
There were a couple of things I discovered, though, in my preparation for the event:
- Tying a bow-tie is really difficult. I gave myself a lot more time to try and tie it this time, but I still could not get close. I did discover that it is just like tying your shoes, but the perspective is so different.
- One of the items I discovered that was stolen during my break-in back in March were my shirt studs and cuff links. Apparently, whatever addict/thief decided to purloin my items made off with some inexpensive shirt studs and cuff links, but that added just a bit of excitement and annoyance to my preparation for Zoomerang.
Fortunately, I was able to correct both of these problems thanks to my friends at Jos. A. Bank. I got a nice set of cuff links and shirt studs, and the manager helped me tie my bow-tie.
P.S. Is it wrong when you and the store manager are on a first-name basis?
