This week has been busy, to say the least.
- My friends who have moved to Michigan earlier this month were in town to take care of their moving and close the sale of their house. Since they flew in, they needed the use of an automobile. Of course, given that I was playing the role of the unemployed slacker, my car made perfect sense. In all seriousness, I helped out when and where I could, so I spent a lot of time running around with them for various things.
- As of yesterday morning, my contingent offer of employment was accepted on the client end. I am now gainfully employed, and my first day is Monday. I spent most of this morning waiting for my FedEx paperwork package to arrive, and I worked on that over lunch this afternoon. I also took care of some logistics that needed to get done for said job–arrival time, security information, and other items.
- I decided to go completely on the Windows Vista route on my laptop. I got tired of fighting my Bluetooth problem on the Windows XP install, so I took the plunge. So far, so good. If I need to use Windows XP, my installation of VMWare Workstation will suffice.
Hopefully, I can relax this weekend and get ready to start the new job.
