JB: Interesting idea, but the problem is that the break-in occurred during the day. It might not be a bad idea to look into, though. I am also pondering the privacy fence, though, in another year. You need to illuminate dark areas on the outside of your house. The thing to get are incandescent floodlights that come on automatically when it gets dark. I haven't been blogging too much in the last few weeks, so I just read about it. I feel for you! It has happened to me and there is definetly a feeling of violation you go through. I own one of those Columbian Yellow and Black Coats and I sure wouldn't want it stolen. Your grandfather's pipe is even more special to lose, I hope it turns up on the market place and gets returned to you. I will keep my eyes open for it in the antiques shops I go to.
