Stealing My Bandwidth!

I just noticed that someone at fochetv is stealing some of my precious bandwidth by linking to an image on my blog.  Doesn’t he know the proper netiquette concerning the use of an image from another online source?

I would email the offending user, but it appears that he has no contact address on his blog.  I will kindly leave a comment on his blog informing him of his egregious breach of netiquette.  If that does not work, then I will replace the image with a nice offensive one (NSFW!) or maybe just throw up another block on the web server.

You should’ve said “not hotlinking is so easy … even a caveman can do it!” (Didja see the post below that?)

Just be thankful you didn’t ever get linked to from fark.com…..that brought my server to a crawl and it was all legitimate traffic.

You should have warned me about that “offensive one…” I just threw up a little bit in my mouth.

MalSnay: I only looked at the link as an incoming link via my WP Dashboard.

Paul: Fark would be entertaining, but also a good way to bring any site to its knees.

Charissa: Hence the NSFW (not safe for work) tag for that link.

Looking at his profile, he seems to be from Chicago. Might I suggest an image of the Bears crying after the superbowl?

You just deflowered Charissa’s goatse virginity! That’s something to be proud of.

But goatse is so blase. I suggest tubgirl, or meatspin.

DON’T GO TO TUBGIRL WHILE AT WORK.

Don’t do it, for the love of God.

Um, but yeah — you should totally replace the image with a nasty one…or one that says “GET YOUR OWN IMAGE, DOUCHEBAG”.

    Carry on.

The change has not been made, so apparently our author doesn’t read his comments. Once I address my home safety issues, I will take care of this problem.
