Fishbone opened for them. I liked Fishbone better, but the Peppers were pretty good. That being said I just can imagine them in a stadium. I know they have been doing stadiums for most of their years, but still I have them stuck in my head with the small club thing... and doing that old stuff in their underwear. or the sock ball thing. Stadium Arcadium is the closest they have been in years, but I blame Dave Navarro's brief time with the band for this turn in their music. The kids were there with their parents. The line for t-shirts was longer than the line for beer. But of course, I liked Green Day & RHCP when I was 13, too. RHCP also only played 2 older songs at Virgin Fest (and nothing pre-Blood Sugar Sex Magic), but that was a shorter set. That guy should have twirled his dreads up turban style on the top of his head to hide the bald spot! How was Gnarls Barkley?
