Put aside next Friday night, Jan 12. Jason Thomas, and I will be doing a special party/recording on Purple Friday next week at The Playbook in Canton. We want to talk to fans, get reactions to the Ravens playoff and Festivus Maximus hopes, and have a big get together before Saturday’s game.
Details are still being worked out as I’m awaiting confirmation from the Playbook that this is going to work for them, but I wanted to let you know in case you wanted to come out and join us that evening.
The Playbook is a new sports restaurant/bar 2 blocks off 95 in Canton and has 30 HD plasma screen televisions. Good times.
Let me know if you plan on coming. Even if you’re not a sports or Ravens fan. And please pass the word.
Come out, enjoy some beverages and football talk, especially as concerns the Ravens-Colts playoff game on Saturday. If for nothing else, come on out and enjoy some beers and such. Of course, I only own one purple item of clothing to wear on Friday.

This is totally nitpicking, but since you’ve invoked the name of my own neighborhood, I feel the need to point out that Playbook is in Dundalk. I know everything from Brewer’s Hill to Highlandtown would like to be considered Canton, but once you’re on the other side of 95? Face it dude, that’s DUNDALK.
That being said, have a great time, drink some beers for me and go Ravens!
I won’t debate the point, as I, too, know it is not Canton. I just quoted the original post.
That said, I will raise a beer or three for you.
If you are not from B-more and never knew Canton or Dundalk before Canton became Canton, everyone gets it confused. Canton orignal is really still the only Canton. Collington to the East I believe and not beyond Hudson.
