Last night was the last Liquid Therapy for this year. As the blog explains, Liquid Therapy is a local gathering where my neighborhood friends and I get together to venture out to new places and enjoy adult beverages. Last night’s choice was a place I had never been: The Swallow at the Hollow.

I have to say, I really liked the Swallow. Even better, the beers were inexpensive and the food pretty darn good. All the times I have been by this place and never stopped in, now I know where I will go to grab a cheap drink after a movie at the Senator.

I was just telling my roommate today about how one of my final exams in college took place at Swallow’s. I went to Loyola. My sociology internship class didn’t have a real exam, so the professor took the class to Swallow’s for happy hour, which was awesome. They have great burgers and Long Island Iced Teas. But, I don’t think I’ve been there since then. Glad you liked it.
That place is awesome, and yet: a total dump… I was always scared of it when I was in college, but a guy I worked with at JHU (a Loyola alumnus) was a P/T bartender there, and I went up there a couple of times… it may have helped my impression that I always drank for free, I suppose…
Danielle: I had a similar event when I studied abroad. Nothing like drinking with a professor.
jwer: I think the Hooters slogan aptly applies to the Swallow: Delightfully tacky, yet unrefined.
