Pioneering into Podcasting

Last Friday, after making a comment on his blog, I met Aaron Brazell for some beers and conversation.  He was interested in beginning a sports podcast of sorts, and I thought I could contribute my meager thoughts.  Tonight we are recording our first session.  Since I suck/procrastinate, I will be in the conversation via phone.  At some point, I will actually invest in a microphone and headset to use with my home desktop.

The podcast is coinciding with a quasi-launch of a new site by Aaron, SuicideFan.com.  I will be one of a few contributors, so thankfully most of you will only have limited access to my dementia.
The great thing about opinions on sports is that everyone has one and thinks that their opinion is the right one.  I know mine are always right. ;-) Check out the site, and subscribe to its feed.

Oh you’re hosting the show. You didn’t get the memo?

    Memo? What memo? :-)

I like to think of it as co-hosting. I need to start small.

Very cool! Hope it goes well. I recently bought a headset for podcasting (http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Premium-Headset-Noise-Canceling-Microphone/dp/B0007N33IQ/sr=8-2/qid=1165942750/ref=pd_bbs_2/002-2233148-4864064?ie=UTF8&s=electronics) it works really well, and is not too expensive.

Greg: Holy crap, that’s cheap! I am going to buy one in short order. Thanks for the tip!

Aaron: Pleasure was all mine. And, damn, I am a wordy bastard!

Wow, that is a cheap mic. I have the same one but paid almost $50 for mine a month ago. :\

Jason, get it man. It is worth it.
