In what is undeniably a wonderful thing, the hated Yankees have been ousted from baseball’s postseason. Good job and good luck to the Tigers and their fans.
Even better, though, the Curse of the Moose lives on. Enjoy the truckloads of cash and the lack of a World Series Ring, Mussina!

Nobody is enjoying the Yankees ouster more than me (well, maybe Tigers fans).
I read somewhere that the Yankees have spent just shy of one billion dollars in player salary since they last won a World Series. One billion dollars.
And somehow, this is all Torre’s fault.
I agree with you R.O.B. I have never been the biggest fan of Joe Torre, but that he is at fault for a poor bullpen and a mediocre starting staff with an over-the-hill starter and, heh, Jaret Wright pitching the must-win game seems a bit suspect at best.
Oh well. No Yankees works for me. No WS ring for Mussina: priceless.
Predictably, let me use this forum to say….Go Cardinals…oust the Mets
