Enjoying the Sound of Cash Registers

Looks like Verizon just replaced a tax with a “surcharge” of their own on their DSL-only subscribers.  And, in a shocking development, the surcharge looks very similar to the Universal Service Fund fee it replaces. 
Something tells me the Verizon Guy likes the sound of adding to his coffers.
