I had a draft for one of the two Fantasy Football leagues I am participating in. Again, I don’t know why I do this, as I am in this league thanks to the wonders of peer pressure. I was all content just to be in the one with my friends from college, but I got complaints from my band of local friends.
You would think that with the live Internet draft, this thing would have gone faster. Our first two rounds took just over an hour. Between a flaky wireless connection for the commissioner and some server lag, the process actually took longer than I had expected. The other rounds went fast, but I had plans to go elsewhere. I setup a draft queue to draft some potential players to fill my needs, and let it run. I mainly wanted to fill out my starting lineup, and I was not too concerned about my reserve players.
When I checked it yesterday, I had about 3 Defense/Special Teams and 2 Kickers. The draft queue worked, but I obviously did not account for other selections. Of course, my incredibly bad draft position did not help matters. No matter, as I have another draft to atone myself for on Wednesday evening.
