Beautiful Day

For some strange reason, I just have the feeling that today is just going to be a good day.  I hit all the lights on my way through downtown to I-83 and even got into the office a little early.  I got a good start on a document I need to crank out to our users today.  Add to that the weather is actually not too bad, and it just all adds up to a beautiful day.  I’ll see what comes of the rest of the day, but, as the Magic 8-ball would say, “Signs point to yes.”
Yesterday I had an appointment with the Angel Foundation to arrange meetings with my nephew who is in foster care.  I had an interesting interview which cost me $50, but at the end of the day I get a chance to see my nephew in person.  The visits are scheduled at the Angel Foundation’s office once a month, so I will get to see him and hang out with him.  The interesting remark from the doctor conducting the interview concerned why the visits were being supervised.  I admitted to being a bit annoyed about having to be supervised, but she mentioned that this was probably an instance of the social worker wanting to have our meetings on “neutral ground,” for lack of a better term.  In any event, I think it will definitely be good.
