- A friend was in town attending the Educause Mid-Atlantic Regional Conference in Baltimore this week. My friend is also known as Mr. Fantasy. We got together for dinner and conversation, as I had not seen him since I attended the Novell TTP Conference back in July. Dinner at Amicci’s was pretty good. As I was in Little Italy, I can never resist a visit to Vaccaro’s. Once there, I enjoyed a delicious cannoli and latte. After eating more in last night than I have all week, we parted ways. I then immediately went to bed. I had a good time, and it was great to catch up with a friend.
- Duke still sucks.
- Tonight is another session in what my friends and I call Liquid Therapy. In our group, someone picks a bar or pub in the area that we tend not to frequent or have never been to at all. I learned this morning that tonight is my choice. I have not been to the Owl Bar in some time, so tonight’s session of Liquid Therapy will be there.
- This week, I have had three friends with various computer issues contact me. One reminded me in a rather obtuse way that my contact information is not conveniently located on my blog. I need to fix that. I have been pondering a slight theme change, so I will work on that this weekend. On the computer issues, I am still waiting for two of them to get back to me with more details. The foibles of being an admitted geek, I suppose.
- Speaking of geekery, I found out that Thunderbird 1.5 is out. Thunderbird is the open-source successor to Netscape Mail developed by the same great minds behind Firefox. I use it for my other IMAP mail accounts and to POP my Gmail. I am downloading it right now.
Time to get back to the grind.
