The local weather yahoos are doing their part to whip up a frenzy populace with the threat of the first major snowfall of the year. The only thing that is certain to result is the usual snarling of traffic as a result of the inability of anyone with Maryland license plates to drive in the slightest of adverse weather conditions. Even with my shorter commute, I fully expect it to be a large nuisance tonight and tomorrow.

You are right about the weather Yahoos, they can cause a panic. Stay off the roads, don’t drive unless you have to. Get milk and toilet paper before it’s gone. Yada, Yada, Yada. It does get tiresome hearing this all the time.

DD: Moving to a place well north of here is quite entertaining when it comes to the winter weather and its coverage. When I was in school in Boston, they did not blink when 6″ to 9″ of snow fell. The drivers were still just as bad in snow as they were when it was dry out
