Big News

I hinted about an announcement of sorts both today and just over one week ago. 
My resignation will be officially handed in tomorrow, but the news is
unofficially official.  I will be ending my time at the University
of Maryland in just four weeks time.

Blocking AOL Instant Messenger Traffic at the Hampton Inn Provo

For some odd reason, I have observed a somewhat inconsistent blocking of AOL Instant Messenger traffic from my hotel, the Hampton Inn Provo.  When I first arrived on Sunday and Monday, I could fire up my Gaim
instant messenger client and connect just fine.  On Tuesday, I had

Day 5 from Provo: Training

Today is the last day of the TTP Conference for me, as I leave tomorrow
morning on a flight back to Baltimore.  It will be nice to come
back home, after a long trip in Utah.  Also, it will be nice to

Worst. Beer. Ever

The largesse from yesterday’s excursion to Cowboy Village was three
tubs of tasy adult beverages.  Unfortunately, one of the items
included Budweiser’s B-to-the-E. 
For some reason, this is a beer with additional caffeine and
ginseng.  Obviously, when people drink Budweiser, there is a need
for an extra kick.  I suppose when you are drunk, you want to be
wide awake.
