I have been meaning to post this since zenchick made this comment last week.
I have been thinking of getting a nice catchy URL for my blog.
Although I have it committed to memory, the default address one gets
with Radio Userland kind of sucks. I realize that the catchy URL
will merely redirect here, but that is better than spouting off a URL
with a bunch of numbers on the end of it. The other reason I am
doing this is it appears that every variation of my name has been
registered. That’s what I get for not buying it up a few years
ago.
The name of my blog will not change, though. I will still thumb
my nose at Internet anonymity, keeping it as Jason J. Thomas’
Weblog.
So, I ask my four humble readers, what should my catchy URL be? Fill up the comments.
UPDATE: After some discussing with zenchick, I have the following options:
- nattybear.com
- This is a play on my passion for National Bohemian and my college nickname that is still used, the Bear.
- mrboh.com
- Surprisingly, this is available. It would allow me to play off my affectation for Boh and Baltimore.
- guinnessisgood.com
- This one speaks to my love of Guinness, my expenditure of much
money and time at Sean Bolan’s, and my Irish heritage. Props to OSP for the late entry.
Either one of those work for me. All three are good, and the last two are awesome.
As amanda pointed out,
jasonjthomas.net is still available. I think I will use that as a
backup domain name from my chosen primary.
